The danger of racehorse dopng in Australia is mounting, the New Zealand jockey Hilary Ford, said on his return by Skymaster to-day after three months, in Australia. To combat it trainers, when they go to the track for racing, are not leaving their horses unattended. Ford considers New Zealand has the edge on Australia for staying horses. “All our horses are as good, if not better than those there,” he added. “Also noticeable is the roughness of their country tracks, compared with ours, but their metropolitan courses are superb.” A bi other of the well-known rider, Kevin Ford. Hilary hopes to rejoin C. Humphries’ training establishment at Riccarton.
