NINE ELIGIBLES MENTIONED FOR PRINCESS MARGARET
Her Enjoyment of the Gossip (Rec. 11.40) LONDON, Feb. 16 Princess Margaret is amused by current talk about her “romances.” although Royal circles are said to be concerned at the linking of her name with a chain of admirers. Friends say that the Princess reads every bit of gossip about her private life. She enjoys keeping columnists guessing about her “favourite” of the moment. Buckingham Palace officials do not hide their annoyance, when asked about rumours of the Princess’s engagement to this or that peer. They .often snap: “Princess Margaret’s private life is her own affair! We probably will be going on denying rumours time and again in the next few years.” Princess Margaret says that she wants to marry young. At various times nine men have been mentioned as her future husband. They are:— Ex-King Michael of Rumania, Prince George, of Denmark, the Marquis of Milford Haven, the Marquis of Blandford, the Earl of Derby, the Earl of Dalkeith, Lord Porchester, Lord Jonn Hope, and Lord Ogilvy.
