HITLER’S CHANCELLERY BEING DEMOLISHED
(NZPA. Special Correspondent) LONDON, Feb. 14. Hitler’s Reich Chancellery, the chief shrine of the German Nazi movement, erected in 1938-39 as a monument to the strength of the Nazi Party, is now in the process oi being totally’demolished by the Russians. , , The Chancellery is already in ruins as a result of Allied bombings and demolitions, but the Russians have decided to raze all portions still standing. ~ , x It is estimated that the complete destruction of the building will take two or three months, and that it will necessitate the firing of over 800 charges of explosive. While the first of these charges were fired last week traffic was halted for several blockfe on every side of the ruined building.
