Burmese Insurgents Engage in Fighting

(Rec. 9.5) RANGON, Dec. 18 Fresh clashes are reported between Government troops and Karen insurgents in the Karenni State, about 230 miles north-west of Rangoon. An official of the Karenni Affairs Ministry said that the rebels were in control of some areas, including those surrounding British-owned tin an., wolfram mines at Mawchi.
