Physician at Buller Hospital

Because Dr Colin Foote, a qualified physician, who has been studying in England has now returned to Westport, the Medical Superintendent of the Buller Hospital, Dr D. R. Ryder, has suggested to the Boara that he might be invited to act in the capacity of consulting physician to the Builer Hospital. Dr Ryder told the Board at this week’s meeting that he desired arrangements made for him to attend a conference oi West Coast boards to oe cancelled, m view of Dr Foote’s return. If Dr Foote undertook the duties, the Board would not be interested in the conference. Mr T. O’Neill remarked that the Grey Board would not worry about the Bulier Board if they could find a physician themselves. It was left to Dr Ryder to confer with Dr Foote.
