CANADA WILLING TO JOIN THE NORTH ATLANTIC UNION
OTTAWA, October 28.
Canada has informed the other Governments concerned that she is ready to enter into negotiations for a regional treaty for collective security, the External Affairs Minister, Mr Pearson, announced to-day. This means that the Dominion is prepared to enter inot a military alliance with the United States and the live nations of Europe's western aliance to form a North Atlantic Defensive Union.
