RETRIAL OF STUCK ON MURDER CHARGE

P.A. CHRISTCHURCH, Oct. 28 The hearing of the charge against William Albertus Ivan Stuck, a butcher aged 40, that he murdered Bertha Bessie Amy Day, at Paparua, on May 14, was continued in the Supreme Court to-day. The Crown case was concluded this faternoon, fortynine witnesses having been heard. Counsel for the deefnce said he would not be calling any evidence. The court adjourned until to-mor-row when counsel will address the jury and the Chief Justice, Sir Humphrey O’Leary, will sum up.
