DARBY MUNRO’S APPEAL FAILS
(Received October 27, 8.30 p.m.) MELBOURNE, October 27. The Victoria Racing Club Committee dismissed an. appeal by Darby Munro against his two years’ disqualification for the riding of Vagabond in the Burwood Handicap. It upheld the appeals of Frank Spurway, the owner, and Dan Lewis, the trainer. The decision means that the New Zealand-bred Vagabond will be able to run in the Victoria Derby and the Melbourne Cup, for which he is highly favoured.
