SAWMILL HOUSES TO BE ERECTED AT KANIERI
(Special to “Argus”) WELLINGTON, October 27. Advice that Cabinet had approved the erection of a number of demountaole sawmill houses at Kanieri township, was received to-day by Mr J. B. Kent, M.P. Originally it was proposed to erect the houses at Stoney Creek, but representations to have them nearer a centre have since been made by Mr Kent, the Westland L.R.C., the Westland Timber Workers’ Union, the N.Z. limber Advisory Committee, and Hokitika Progress League. The houses will be similar in type to those erected elsewhere, and the .act that they will now be at Kanieri itself is likely to make them most popular. /
