RUNANGA CO-OP. SOCIETY REPORTS RECORD TRADING

The six monthly meeting of the Runanga Co-operative Society was held at the Miners’ Hall last evening. There was a good attendance of members. Mr F. J. Oakley (President) was in the chair. ' The trading for the year was reported to have reached an all time record, being in the vicinity of £77,000. The balance sheet was received as satisfactory. The membership now stands at 567. The election of president resulted in Mr F. J. Oakley being returned unopposed. Fotir committeemen and one trustee were appointed as follows: Messrs Richmond, Grogan and McTaggart for twelve months, and Mr Maskill for six months. Mr Cairney was elected as trustee. The recommendations and requests of the committee on various matters of general business were adopted by the meeting. _____
