DUNEDIN, Sept. 3 Radio listeners in several parts of New Zealand were disappointed last night when an incomplete broadcast was provided by 4YA of the Dominion final of the Melba scholarship contest. Only three of the seven competitors were heard on the air. The winner, Mrs Dorothy Cayford, of Oamaru, was not among them. It was stated to-day by the radio authorities that the fault in the relay line between the station and tne Town Hall caused a break in he concert transmision, the fault being due to factors entirely beyond tne control of the stafU
