Australian Navy Not Yet to Use Jet Aircraft
Jet-propelled aircraft would not be used on Australia’s two new Cartiers until their efficiency has been proved, said the Chief of the Royal Australian Naval Service, Rear-Admiral J. A. Collins. Thusfar, jet aircraft had not been established as efficient under all conditions. He added that, initially, Australia’s naval aviation service would use the “Sea Fury,” which was the latest proven sea fighter.
