DUTCH AIM TO MAKE INDONESIA A FREE UNITED STATES
LONDON, Aug. 13. A correspondent at The Hague reports: The new Premier of Holland, Willem Drees, in cutlining Cabinet’s policy in Parliament, said that the Netherlands Government would do everything possible to solve the Indonesian problem. The Government had undertaken to co-operate in the creation of free sovereign United States of Indonesia in a well-knit lasting union. He expected an agreement with the delegation from states and districts outside the Republic. This agreement would attempt, firstly, to establish a truly Indonesian federal interim govement; and secondly, to institute a United States of Indonesia and to form simultaneously a Netherlands Indonesian Union.
