A strong sale for coarse crutchings resulted at the opening of the season auction in Napier, where the catalogue included 6761 bales of new seaproduct and oddments and 15,804 bales of the stock pilejAnoJficial report issued by the Hawkes Bav Woolbrokers’ Association stated that competition was particularly keen for coarse crutchings. Short and inferior sorts were not sought after. ’ The official range of prices is:Crutchings: Good to super coaise 28d to 32d; good su per, fine, 26d to 281 d; average, 20, ; d z^d > ferior nnd_ seedy, 7~d to 16 a.
