OBITUARY MR STEWART HAY

The death occurred somewhat suddenly yesterday of Mr Stewart Hay of Paroa, a well-known builder. Mr Hay, who had been foreman-carpen-ter in the employ of Mr E. W. Rathbun, for about 12 years past, was a most capable tradesman. While engaged at work at a house in Geraldine Street, yesterday, collapsed, after which a doctoi' was summoned and he was removed by ambulance to the Grey River Hospital but expired shortly after admission. Born at Kumara 52 years ago, he had spent the greater part of his life in Grey district in. the building trade as a carpenter and joiner. He had also spent some years in Australia and the North Island but for the past eleven years had resided at Paroa. Mr Hay is survived by his; wife and one son, John (Paroa); and one sister, Mrs J. Donaldson, snr., (Ngahere). The funeral will take place to-morrow afternoon, leaving his late residence for the Karorcr Cemetery. 1 - >
