DUNEDIN COUNCIL MEETS DEMAND OVER TRAM DISPUTE
DUNEDIN. June 2. At. a conference convened by direction of the Minister of Labour this morning, the City Council representatives accepted in principle a suggestion made by the Department of Labour and Employment that a certain number of relief drivers be appointed. The union is to consider the suggestion at a mass meeting. If it is favourable, work will be resumed immediately. A further conference will be held later.
