BOXING MARR OUTPOINTED BY STEVENS

Before a crowd of nearly 2000, Roy Stevens, the middle-weight boxing champion of New Zealand, beat Jack Marr, the light-weight champion of Victoria, on points, in an open-air contest over 12 rounds at Mataura on Saturday afternoon. The purse was £3OO. It was a first-class contest, mid in the last round, they fought toe to toe at a terrific pace.
