(Our Own Correspondent) The preparations for the South Westland sports'to be held at the end of May are in hand under the direction, of Mr Joseph Curtain (president) and Mr G. Agnew (secretary). The principal events will be the 14-inch underhand and 12-mch unright chops, both with £5O, first prizes, and white pine logs will be used. Printed programmes will shorilv be circulated. A Wataroa fat heifer topped the market at Addington last week. _ Remits for the provincial meeting of the Federated Farmers are to be considered at. a meeting here shortly of the local branch. The provincial meeting will be held in Westport .next month,
