Mr C. Schroder presided at the weekly meeting of the Westland Rugby Sub-Union, when the following fixtures were made for Saturday:-- „ , . . Senior: Kiwis v. Excelsiors, at Hokitika, at 2.45 p.m. (Referee: JBennett). r., Junior: Kiwis v. St. Mary’s, at Hokitika, at 1.30 (Referee: R. Roberts); Excelsiors v. Ross at Ross/Referee: E. Mitchell); Pirates v. ixokatahi. at Woodstock, at 2.30, (Referee: F. Stapleton). ' . x 7 . The secretary was instructed to write to the County Clerk pointing out that delegates caused no damage to its furniture, and that care would be exercised in regard to smoking during meetings of the subunion. One player was regraded to iunior, and one player was recommended for reinstatement. Two nominations were received for senior selector, Messrs B. Kelly and C. McLean. and Mr Kelly was appointed. Mr Kelly was nominated as representative on the West Coast boai d of Electors. Footballs were recommended for Kanieri and. Ross schools. Mr Allen’s offer of pumicity for Saturday morning marches under the Junior Advisory Board was; accepted. The lighting system on Cass Sq u aie was placed under, tne control of the postponement commitme. One jeerading was reconsidered ana granted. Pirate club suggested d C T °. selector in the junior grade It was decided to increase the charge for admission to games from Is to Is pd. The Junior Advisory Board competitions commence on Saturday morning. .. .
