The Hon. A. McLagan, Minister of Mines and Labour, who spent the wteek-end in Reefton, visited Blackball on Friday, and left yesterday for Westport. The Minister was accompanied by Mrs McLagan and by Mr C. H. Benriey, Under-Secretary for Mines.
Week-end airways passengers at Westport were:—For Wellington, Mrs K. Higgins, Mr C. Gavain, Mr G. Montague; for Nelson, Mr and Mrs F. Power, Miss P. Power, Mr H. Betteley, Mr Callaghan, Mr J. Henderson; for Auckland, Mr K. Shannon. Mr J. Luff, building superintendent, Mines Department, Bluntly, who had been visiting Westport, left on return to Huntly with • his family on Saturday.
