CANTERBURY GAMES CHRISTCHURCH, April 18 The trial Rugby League representative game, Possibles v. Probables, resulted in a v/in for the Probables by 27 points to 15. The.main feature of the game was the outstanding play of the winning side’s forwards. With P. Smith, captain of the New Zealand Rugbv League team, hooldng the ball, his supports were given every opportunity. It was only the deadly tackling of the Possibles’ backs that Kept the winner’s score down. Smith was ably seconded by J. Dukes, K. Andrews, W. Warren, and L. Gardiner. J. O’Halloran, halfback, went well in the first spell, and kept Henry and Adams well supplied with the ball. Henry played a sound game. ■ E. Lewis was one of the outstanding backs on the field, and scored ten of the Possibles fifteen points. D. Davis also went well. C. Gardiner and M. Tobeck were good forwards. Club' games resulted: Christchurch 8, Addington 7; St Joseph’s 22, Dailington 7; Linwood 13, Papanui 5.
