Da Vinci in Favour

(Rec. 9.15). BRISBANE, June 19. The champion New Zealand sprinter, Da Vinca, is in high favouritism for the Doomben, £lO,OOO, Handicap. He will have his first race in Australia on Saturday. He will start in the Doomben Flying Handicap, which will be run over the £lO,OOO course of seven furlongs, less ninetythree yards. He has not raced since January, when he ran a track record for six furlongs, at Trentham, of 1.10 1-4.

The New Zealander, Master Dash, will also start in 'the Flying Handicap.

The decision regarding Da Vinci has been so late, that W. Briscoe will not be able to ride him next Saturday, as he has accepted too many mounts at Moorfield. He will be riding the New Zealander, Rotoi'ii at Moorfield.
