ATHLETICS POTENTIAL OLYMPIC RUNNERS NAMED
Appointed to report on New Zealand’s potential Olympic representatives, Messrs J. W. Holley and A. C. Kitto, have forwarded the names of five athletics to the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association. In order of merit, they are:— (1) D. M. Harris (West Coast, North Island, middle distance runner). (2) J. C. Grierson (Auckland, middle distance runner) (3) W. H. Nelson (Otago, distance runner). (4) J. M. Holland (Auckland 440 yards hurdler). (5) D. R. Batten (Canterbury sprinter. Nominations for track and field selectors will close on June 30.
