WATERSIDERS NOT AKING SIDES AT PORT CHALMERS

P.A. DUNEDIN, May 22. Members of the Port Chalmers branch of the New Zealand Waterside Workers’ Union were to-day addressed by Mr A. Drennan and Mr J. Flood, representatives of the National Executive of the New Zealand Waterside Workers’ Union. After the address they carried the following resolution: “That the Port Chalmers branch of the New Zealand Waterside Workers’ Union has confidence in both the National Executive and the Labour Government, and, until there are further developments, it will do nothing to embarrass either side”. Messrs Drennan and Flood will address members of the Dunedin branch to-morrow.
