ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL
LONDON, May 20. The Football Association following consultations with the Home Secretary, Mr Chuter Ede, has announced the removal of the ban on mid-week football during the next season. The Football Association requested the fixture secretaries to avoid midweek matches except on national and local holidays, or at the beginning and end of the football season when evening kick-off times can be fixed.
