Third World War Averted by U.S.A., Says Turkish Leader
(Rec. 10.10) LONDON, May 21. “The American aid to Turkey has prevented a Third World War.” This declaration is made by the leader of the Turkish Parliamentary delegation, now visiting Britain, Mr Hyseyin Valoin. He continued: “If the American loan of one hundred million dollars for Turkey had not been approved, Russia would have been encouraged to start an aggressive move against Turkey.” He added: "A new rapprochement between the Turkish Government and the Greek Government is p” pected soon.”
