Annual Reunion of Runanga R.S.A. I Our Own Correspondent.] “The members of the local branch to be congratulated for initiating mixed function such as this,” said Mr O. McLean, president of the Greymouth R.S.A., when responding to The toast of the R.S.A. at the annual reunion of the Runanga branch on ■Saturday evening. “The even percentage of ladies here this evening speaks for itself and their presence amongst us has a remarkable restraining influence, ” concluded Mi’ McLean, amidst laughter. - Mr G. Timlin.

During the evening musical items were given by Mrs A. Taylor, Messrs A. Airns. T. Anderson and G. Anderson (songs); Mrs A. Spark (pianoaccordian (Miss Mosley and Mr Ken’”ick (piano solos) and Messrs J. Richmond, J. Finlay and C. Kennedy (banjo solos). Accompanists were Mrs A. Airns, Miss C. Moore and Mr D. Kenrick. A buffet, dance with music supplied by Miss E. Warwick (piano), Mr T. McKenzie (violin) and Messrs . C. Kennedy. Geo Williamson (Banjoes) concluded a most enjoyable evening. RUNANGA WOMEN'S GUILD CELEBRATE 19th BIRTHDAY Visitors from Waiuta, Reef ton, Brunnerton and Greymouth, attended the 19th birthday party of the Runanga Women’s Guild held in the Druid’s Hall. . Extending a welcome to the visitors, Mrs W. Griffiths (president) wished all a most enjoyable evening, _ to which the presidents of the various .visiting guilds responded in reciprocative terms. , The usual toast list was honoured and during the evening musical items were given by Mesdames Griffiths and Reynolds (duet) Hambley and Reynolds (duet), Williams and Bell (dance), Bobby Jones (waltz) and Mesdames Williams, Hodgson, Todd, Rutherford and Taylor (song), Miss Schultz (recitation). The accompanist for the evening was Mrs Reynolds. Frize winners for the evening were Mesdames Win and Dobbin, of Waiuta. Community singing and Auld Lang Syne concluded a most enjoyable evening.
