PLANE FALLS ON BOYS IN SCHOOLGROUND
NEW YORK, May 18. A Navy Corsair fighter plane crashed in Burlington (Iowa) today, hit two houses, then rebounded on to the school-ground and exploded among a group of boys playing baseball. The pilot of the plane and two teen-age boys were killed. Five other boys were injured. The explosion scattered plane wreckage and flaming gasoline over three city blocks.
