At Millerton, the home team, Rangers, defeated Stars by 9 to 6 on Saturday. The game was very keen, the forwards dominating it. There were a number of bright back movements. On Victoria Square, Westport, Rovers had another win when they easily defeated Westport by 19 to 3. The third senior game in Westport resulted in a win for United over Old Boys by 14 to 8. Junior; Pirates went on their winning way by defeating Rangers at Millerton by 6 to 3. At Mokihinui. Stars defeated Mokihinui by 9 to 6. Old Boya and Westport drew, the score being 9—9. Thirds: Tech School were too strong for a weak Star team, winning by 17 to nil.
