WELLINGTON, May 18. There is a depression north-east of the North Island. There is a ridge of high pressure over the South Island. There is a cold front advancing on to New Zealand from the west. Forecast to 5 p.m. on Monday: Moderate westerly winds predominating. Scattered rain developing in the far south, but, only a few scattered showers elsewhere. Temperatures rather cold. Further outlook: Similar conditions.
