AUCKLAND, March 23. The most interesting talking points of yesterday’s sporting gossip here were:— The reported resignation of exAll Black Fred Lucas as Auckland representative Rugby selector because of pressure of business activh ties. The appointment to the staff of an Auckland sports firm of Neil Edwards, 1937 Davis Cup representative and former national singles champion. LONDON, March 22. The death has occurred of A. E. Hind, a former Leicestershire Rugby three-quarter, who represented England in 1906 against the All Blacks.
