ENGINEER STRIKERS TO STOP TRAINS IN VICTORIA
MELBOURNE, March 21. Union leaders claim that all of the Victorian train services will be at a standstill within a wee Ip As part of a move to extend the metal trade dispute, about four thousand Melbourne members of the Amalgamated Engineering Union, in addition to .those already on strike, will leave their jobs within the next twenty-four hours. These men are employed in the Railway, Tramway, and State Electricity Commission Workshops, powerhouses and gasworlds.
The week-end stoppages will bring the total number of engineers on strike to about ten thousand.
