Flogging a Dead Horse
CANBERRA, March 18. Speaker Rosevear ruled out of order a fourth attempt within six sitting days to have Parliament debate a motion by Sir Earle Page that Australia should send twenty-five million pounds worth of food to Britain. Mr Speaker pointed out that the House had negatived the three previous motions. The Standing Orders provided that once a question has been affirmed or negatived, it should not again be raised during a session.
