STEPS BEING TAKEN TO SETTLE WANGANELLA DISPUTE
WELLINGTON, March 20.
That steps arc being taken to try and end the deadlock in regard to the repair of the Wanganella is indicated by advice to-day that a lettei has been sent by William Cable and Company, the contractor for the repair work, to the union committee handling the negotiations for the unions involved, asking the men to start work on the ship within 24 hours.
