Miss R. Coppersmith of Wellington is visiting relations and friends at Westport. The death has occurrred at Westport of Mr. Patrick Degnan, aged 75 years. Deceased, who was a native of Lanarkshire, Scotland, came to New Zealand about 22 years ago, andjsince then has resided the greater part of his life in the Buller district. He was predeceased by hi.? wife four years ago, and is survived by six daughters, two, Mesdames Dickinson (Ngawakau), and J. Cummings (Westport) residing in New Zealand.
