SOCCER PLAYERS THREATEN STRIKE IN ENGLAND

(Rec. 9.50) LONDON, March 11. The Minister of Labour, Mr Isaacs, will consider immediately the demand by the Soccer Players’ Union for more pay. His decision follows a meeting of the Players’ Union in Manchester yesterday, when delegates from 54 League Clubs voted to strike on March 21, failing a reply by 7 March 19 to their request for compulsory arbitration.

The Daily Express says: Mr Isaacs probably will refer the dispute tn the National Arbitration Tribunal, whose decisions will be binding on both sides.
