CROQUET
COBDEN CLUB OPENS The Cobden Croquet Club opened their season on Saturday, when there was a good attendance of members, together with representatives from other clubs. In the absence of the president (Mrs J. Duncan), the season was declared open by Mrs A. Turley, Mrs McKechnie driving the first ball. The green was in good order, and a number of competitions were competed for, the winners being? Croquet in the Rain: Mesdames Mercer and Hooper; Golf Croquet; Mrs McLauchlan; Circle Croquet: Mrs Mercer; French Croquet: Mrs McLauchlan; Indoor Competition: Mrs Hooper.
