OWNER AND JOCKEY KILLED. PARIS, Nov. 16.

The Egyptian Prince, Nabil Hassit Toussum, and the French jockey, Georges Beguitistain, whom the Prince had just hired, were fatally injured when a car in which they were en route to Marseilles from Paris overturned at a road bend near Dijon and plunged into a ravine. FLEMINGTON RESULTS. (Rec. 5.30). MELBOURNE, Nov. 17. The record of outsiders winning important races at' the Melbourne spring meeting continued to-day. The Williamstown Cup, which was expected to provide consolation for well-backed and unlucky horses in previous important events, failed today to justify that impression. Leonard, who has won two weight-for-age races in the last few weeks, was unable to be handicapped, and was considered as very favourably weighted and was the most popular starter. He was well placed most of the way, was second into the straight and was expected to outstay the opposition, but he weakened in the last furlong and missed n place. The winner was an outsider. Roval Soot, whose form was so moderate that he was handicapped with the minimum weight. Taking charge soon after the start, he was not. afterwards headed. Chaytor challenged the leader a furlong from home and appeared likely to overtake him, but died away in the run and was easily defeated by a length. Knockarlow struggled on to gain third place but never appeared a likely winner. The New Zealand mare, First In, was heavily sunported. but she was always well back and never a likely winner, and missed a place. She appears to have lost all form. Having his second start, Race Record, a colt, by Coronach fr'-m Princess Ball, which cost 4.75(1 guineas at. the New Zealand yearling sales was made favourite in the Rawron Stakes. After he appeared to have every chance, he failed tn ntake any impression in the last two furlongs and finished sixth. His present form indicates the colt to ba a very costly purchase. The win ner was Eba, a filly by Dhoti from Air Song. The filly had shown promising form earlier, but lacked stamina. Racing has improved her, and she finished strongly to-dav to win by half a. length from Seleria, with Two Krngs a moderate third.
