Runanga Co-operative Women’s Guid met on Friday evening in the Druid's Hall to farewell one of their members', Mrs Keene, who is leaving the district to reside in The president, Mrs Reynolds, presented her with a suede and chromium ash tray, wishing her every success and good health for herself and Mr Keene. Mrs Keene thanked the members for their beautiful gift. Songs were given by Mesdames Taylor, Oakley, Anderson, Pope, Griffiths, and Lemon, and a step walk by Mrs Welsh. A garden competition was won by Mrs Reynolds. The Runanga Co-operative Youth Club held a social in the Druids Hall, on Monday evening. There was a good attendance of visitors from Greymouth. Games, community singing, and dancing was' the order, Miss Jackson being pianist, and the hostesses for the evening were Misses Houghton, Kyle, McTigue, and Fitz gibbons.
