N.Z. MEAT CARGO AT LONDON BRIDGE. LONDON, August 23. Seven thousand tons of London’s meat ration were delivered on the doorstep when the Baltannic became the first New Zealand vessel to come right up the Thames to London Bridge. The Baltannic berthed in Britain for the first time in five years aftei’ spending the wax' as a Pacific transport. GERMANS RELEASED. BUENOS AIRES. Aug. 24. The Argentine Supreme Court, ordered the release of 10 Germans who had been alleged to be Axis agents, including Siegfried Becker, described in a United States Blue Book as chief of South American Nazis. The Supreme Court ruled that the men could not be deported without a proper trial, thereby over-ruling the Appellate Court, which had refused writs of habeas corpus.
