The Ministers agreed, at the end of the last Cabinet meeting, before the election on September 28, that the Labour Party”s policy speech should not be revised. The speech wifi be delivered by Rt. Hon. J. B. Chifley on September 2. It was composed before' Mr Menzies’ speech was drawn up. It is expected to have as its theme a determination of the Labour Party to grant concessions according to the interests of the country, as shown by constant reviews.
