RE-ELECTED
PRESIDENT OF ECUADOR (Rec. 6.30). QUITO, August 12. The Ecuador Assembly at Quito has' re-elected Senor Velasco President by 43 votes to 10. The delegation from the Manabi Province withdrew, in protest. President Velasco has been a virtual dictator for the past four months. While the Assembly met to-day, public demonstrations acclaimed President Velasco. He threatened to dissolve the Parliament if they did not re-elect him.
