LOAD LIFTED BY SUPERFORTRESS.
(Rec. 6.10.) TOKIO, May 15. An Army Pacific Air Command Super-Fortress has captured the fourth world’s record within a month. The latest is the lifting of a payload of forty-four hundred lbs., to an altitude of 44,200 feet. The previous record was 36,105 feet, established in 1936 by the Russian flier, Kokkinski.
