ROSS STOCK SALE

On Wednesday a stock sale was held at Ross, on which the National Mortgage and Agency Coy., Ltd., reports as follows:—There was a total entry of 100 head of cattle and 186 of sheep offered to a representative attendance of butchers and graziers. Bidding was keen from the outset for both cattle and sheep, and the whole of the yarding was disposed of bj' auction at full market rates. The following is a list of our principal sales: A/c A. Detlaff, 79 fat lambs at 24s 3d, 1 Cheviot ram at £3 3s, 1 Shropshire ram at Ugns; a/c J. Conning, 40 fat wethers at 435, 9 fat steers at £l3 17s 6d, 1 ditto at £ll 2s 6d, 1 heifer at £ll 7s 6d; a/c G. H. Ferguson, 32 2-tooth Romney ewes at 395, 32 S.M. ewes at 21s, 1 Romney ram at £1 Is, 3 fat steers at £l2 7s 6d, 3 runners from £5 17s. 6d to £9 2s 6d; a/c J. Minehan, 7 cows from £2 7s 6d to £5 7s 6d; a/c G. Mardon. 1 dairy cow at £6 10s; a/c M. Carroll, 7 2year steers at £7 2s 6d to £9 17s 6d, 2 cows at £7 12s 6d, 3 18-month heifers at £5 12s 6d; a/c H. Arnold, 3 18month heifers from £4 2s 6d to £6 12s 6d, 1 steer at £6 12s 6d; a/c M. Collett, 2 cows at £9 2s 6d; a/c W. Hamilton, 2 heifers at £9 2s 6d; a/c W.
