Make Landing in Spain (Rec. 9.30) MADRID, Jan. 31 Twenty-four men, yesterday _attempted to make an armed lancung on the Spanish coast near Oviedo. These men are officially described as Communists, who came' from Bordeaux in France. The raiders, as their boat approached, were spotted by the Spanish ' coast guards. The coast guards opened fire when tne first of the raiders landed. Three of these raiders were killed, and one was captured by coast guard's. Then the rest escaped. It is believed the party intended to carry out acts of sabotage. France and Spain PARIS, Jan. 30 ' The French Council of Ministers decided to sanction the issue of a visa to Giral, President of the Spanish Republican Government, who is in the United States. The French Foreign Office previously refused' a visa and asked Giral to postpone his visit.
