ABOUT BRETTON WOODS POLICY.
(Rec. 6.30) NEW DELHI, Jan. 29. A motion proposed by the Indian Congress Party was accepted, without a division, by the Central Legislative Assembly, appointing a committee to consider India’s adherence to the final act of the Bretton Woods monetary convention.
The motion asked that, pending the consideration of the report of the committee set up, there should be no further action taken in respect, to the proposed Bretton Woods fund or bank. India signed the Bretton Woods agreement for an international fund and bank in December.
