MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE MEETS

Mu L. Hunter presided at the weekly meeting of the Management Committee, of the West Coast Rugby League, held last evening when the following were present: Messrs J. Anisy, W Meates, C. Stone-. P. Sw-eet-ma.n, J. Oakley, J. Griffen, N. Mes- . seriger and T. F. McKenzie (secret31A motion of sympathy with the . relatives of the late Mr. A. Meadowcroft was carried by members standing in silence. The Canterbury Rugby League tor- ■ warded a statement in connection with the representative match played recently and enclosed a cheque for ; the West Coast share. Members ex- . pressed gratification at the splendid - gate received which, they said, augured well for the future of the code in Canterbury. The request of the Addington Club for its senior and junior teams to play matches on the West Coast during the week end was d'eclined andthe Club is to be asked to apply for a later date. . The secretary of the Otahunu club wrote confirming all arrangements for their visit and thanked the League for its co-operation in arranging the matches. The Schoolboy Control board, Auckland Rugby League, wrote expressing appreciation of the arrange- . ments made in connection with the recent schoolboy tournament and extended thanks to all who had billeted the boys.
