PRAGUE, August 13. Mr. Benes, by decree, nationalised the Czechoslovakian film industry including the production, distribution and cinema ownership operation. The World Zionist Conference appealed to the Government to implement, without delay, requests that Palestine should be declared a Jewish State..- It also asked for an international loan for the transfer of the first 1,000,000 Jews, and for reparations in kind from Germany. After a stormy meeting, the dockers, who for the past 77 days have been employing a go-slow policy, decided to go back to work in earnest to-morrow morning. The soldiers who have been handling ships nevertheless, are standing by “just in case.” The French Government has taken over seven of the war-built ships, which Britain offered to Allied Governments to replace lost tonnage. These vessels, flying the French flag, are available for the United Nations under the United Maritime Authority.
