ROAD FROM HAAST
Only Miie to Jackson Bay (Our Own Correspondent) UPPER OKURU, July 19 The great south road, which the Government has been constructing into far South Westland, was joined up to-day from the Haast River to within one mile from Jackson Bay. There are four outstanding bridges along the new road. The settlers greatly appreciate the Government’s action in developing this isolated district. The connection with Jackson Bay has big possibilities.
