ELECTION REGULATIONS. NINE DISTRICTS CONSTITUTED. P.A. WELLINGTON, June 28. The Milk Board election regulations are published to-night. They provide the necessary machinery for the election of members of Metropolitan Milk Boards, which are now to be established in the main centres, under the Milk Act. The regulations provide that each local authority forming part of a combined metropolitan milk district shall have nomination and voting powers in the election of the Board: that each local authority shall have one vote for each thousand, or part thereof, of population; and that the elections are to be held in the same years as the Municipal and General Elections are held, and not less than three months after the Municipal Election.

Special provision is made for first elections for Auckland, Christchurch, Dunedin, and Palmerston North, which will be held not later than August 14 this year. The Gazette contains Orders-in-Council defining these four districts. Other orders constitute the Wanganui, Hastings, Feilding and Dannevirke milk districts. In the case of Wanganui, the Wanganui City Council is the Milk Authority. The Minister of Health, Hon. Mr Nordmeyer, states that further orders covering other major consuming areas are in preparation, and will shortly be submitted for the assent of the Governor-General-in'-Councik
